Russian dictator Vladimir Putin acknowledged that there are fuel shortages affecting motorists and businesses in Russia, and also noted the lines at gas stations during a meeting dedicated to ensuring fuel supplies for the domestic market. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing “Interfax-Ukraine.”

“You know very well that problems for motorists and businesses persist. Unfortunately, there are also lines at gas stations,” Putin said.

He also noted that “the right brand of gasoline is not always available right now.”

“Overall, to stabilize the fuel market, I believe it is necessary to take systematic measures commensurate with the scale of the current challenges. This involves both increasing supply and maintaining economically justified fuel prices,” Putin stated.

According to him, the largest oil refineries in the Russian Federation are currently operating at maximum capacity, and the potential of small and medium-sized refineries has also been mobilized. In addition, scheduled maintenance at these facilities has been postponed, and routine maintenance is being carried out on an accelerated schedule.
