Over the past 24 hours, residents of Kyiv and the Kyiv region have submitted numerous claims for compensation for damaged homes through the “Diya” app.
This was reported by Oleksiy Kuleba, Ukraine’s Minister of Community and Territorial Development, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Oleksiy Kuleba, Ukraine’s Minister of Community and Territorial Development, stated that 986 reports were submitted in Kyiv and 147 in the Kyiv region. He noted:
The recent massive Russian attacks have caused serious damage to housing and civilian infrastructure, especially in Kyiv and communities in the Kyiv region. Kuleba urged people not to delay in submitting applications for compensation through “Diya.”
Compensation Mechanisms
The state provides compensation through the “eRecovery” program. It covers both the repair of damaged housing and the reconstruction or purchase of new housing in the event of complete destruction.
According to Kuleba:
- Nearly 19,000 families in Kyiv have already received compensation for housing restoration.
- Nearly 8,500 families have received certificates to purchase new housing.
“I am addressing local authorities separately: it is necessary to expedite the work of commissions, document damage, and assist people in the process of receiving compensation as quickly as possible,” Kuleba wrote.
