The Verkhovna Rada announced a bill on an open competition for the position of head of “PlayCity”

Danylo Getmantsev, chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax, and Customs Policy, announced that on Monday he will introduce a bill calling for an open competition—with the participation of international experts—to fill the position of head of the state-owned enterprise “PlayCity.” He wrote about this on his Telegram channel, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to the lawmaker, the proposed selection process is modeled after the competition for the position of director of the Bureau of Economic Security (BES).

“I have prepared a bill on an open competition for the position of PlayCity director with the participation of international experts, modeled after the EBS. I will register it on Monday. I will ask my colleagues to vote in favor of the bill in principle and as a whole. The industry needs to be cleaned up urgently,” Getmantsev wrote.

The initiative came after the dismissal of PlayCity’s previous head. The leadership change took place amid criticism of the company’s performance and questions about the effectiveness of the industry’s management.

As reported by [Komersant], the state agency PlayCity is initiating the introduction of a separate procedure for holding a competition for the position of its head. The goal is to establish a transparent and independent selection process.
