The government will help Ukrainian citizens and businesses install alternative energy sources

To develop distributed electricity generation, the Government is ready to provide affordable financial resources so that citizens and businesses can purchase the necessary energy equipment,

Private households will receive an interest-free rate for the installation of solar panels, wind turbines and energy storage with the possibility of lending up to UAH 480,000 for 10 years. The programme is implemented by the Entrepreneurship Development Fund.

Condominiums and housing cooperatives seeking to improve the energy efficiency of their buildings can receive compensation of up to UAH 2 million for solar stations and up to UAH 2 million for heat pumps. The state covers up to 70% of the project cost. The programme is implemented by the Energy Efficiency Fund.

Small and medium-sized enterprises can receive loans of up to UAH 150 million at 5-7-9% for the development of environmentally friendly energy solutions. In particular, funds can be obtained for the purchase and installation of solar panels and/or wind turbines, energy storage facilities, and the construction of gas turbine, gas piston and biogas generating units. The programme is implemented by the Entrepreneurship Development Fund.

Small and medium-sized businesses can also take advantage of the Decarbonisation Fund of Ukraine programme and receive soft loans of up to UAH 25 million and up to 9% per annum for solar panels, heat pumps, cogeneration units, biogas plants, energy service projects and other energy-efficient equipment.

Who can participate in the programme

  • Owners of households with a floor area of less than 250 sq m.
  • Condominiums and housing cooperatives located on the territory of Ukraine, except for the temporarily occupied territories and areas of active hostilities.
  • Small and medium-sized enterprises.

What you can spend the money on

Private households will have the opportunity to spend money on the purchase and installation of solar panels and/or wind turbines with a capacity of 1 to 10 kW, with hybrid inverters, as well as on energy storage facilities with a capacity of 1 kWh for each 1 kW of installed generation capacity

Homeowners will be able to buy and install solar power plants, heat pumps and related equipment at public expense.

Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses will be able to spend money on the purchase and installation of solar panels and/or wind turbines with hybrid inverters, energy storage facilities, and financing the construction and installation of gas turbine, gas piston and biogas generating units
