UKRSIBBANK and Down Syndrome have launched a fundraiser for a grant competition: “The power of small steps to your own victory”

UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group together with the All-Ukrainian Charitable Organization “Down Syndrome” have launched an annual fundraiser for people with Down syndrome in the multi-year campaign “Silver Coin”, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The fundraiser will last until January 17 and will be used for grants to organizations that will take part in the Power of Small Steps to Your Own Victory competition.
Donations can be made through the UKRSIB online application, which already has a template with requisites, or by following the link.
The funds raised will be used for the grant competition “The Power of Small Steps to Your Own Victory”, which will be held by the AUCO Down Syndrome among public organizations and other parent associations that deal with the development of people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities.
Another goal of the annual project is to raise public awareness of the needs of people with this syndrome, help them adapt and create an environment that maximizes the development of their gifts and talents.
The award ceremony will take place in February 2025. The jury of the competition is made up of representatives of the All-Ukrainian Charitable Organization “Down Syndrome” and UKRSIBBANK.
The bank also has a charity card “Silver Coin“. Each payment with this card is a small step towards big changes and achievements in the lives of children with Down syndrome. For each payment with the charity card, the bank transfers UAH 1 to the Down Syndrome All-Ukrainian Charitable Organization. This card also has a special design created by Maria Isakova, a girl with Down syndrome. Like many other people, she was forced to leave her home, seeking refuge in a hut in the picturesque Carpathians, where she found comfort and confidence in the future.
“Even the smallest steps towards a goal can become big victories – children who need special attention and support in their development and education prove this every day. For them, every new word, confident movement, solved math problem or played simple melody is a great victory and incredible joy for parents. “Each charitable contribution is not just financial support, but a small step towards big changes in the lives of children with Down syndrome. Thanks to these contributions, organizations from different regions of Ukraine have the opportunity to develop programs for education, socialization and early support for children with intellectual disabilities and their families. During the campaign, thanks to the support of the bank’s customers, we managed to raise funds for the implementation of significant projects, including: equipment for a specialized Center for the Early Development of Children with Down Syndrome, distribution of speech and reading development programs, seminars and comprehensive diagnostics, counseling for children and parents, printing of special literature, and grants for the implementation of regional inclusion projects to improve the quality of life of people with Down syndrome.
