According to the company’s financial report, net revenue from the sale of products, goods, works, and services during this period amounted to 3.3 billion hryvnia. This is 71.1 million hryvnia, or 2%, less than planned and 5 million hryvnia less than in the first quarter of 2025.

Changes in Revenue

The company notes that revenue growth was observed in the segments of letter mail, money transfers, and payments. However, revenue from other services declined. During this period, Ukrposhta processed 15.8 million pieces of letter mail, 9.8 million parcels, and 18.3 million payments.

Ukrposhta’s EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) in the first quarter amounted to 25.4 million hryvnias, whereas a year ago this figure stood at 41.4 million hryvnias.

The company cites the following as the main reasons for these results :

  • Continued aggression by the Russian Federation: this led to the loss of markets and property, which affected the volume of all services.
  • Stagnation in domestic demand for services, particularly for parcels, due to the unfavorable economic situation.
  • Delays in the rollout of additional services for customers.

Operational efficiency was also affected by pensioners switching to banking services, a decline in the population, and the ongoing digitization of payments.

Plans for the Future

Ukrposhta’s management plans to do the following in the second quarter:

  • Continue investing in digital services, expanding the functionality of the mobile app and CRM system.
  • Scale logistics solutions, including the deployment of new parcel lockers in the regions.
  • Strengthen operational efficiency and ensure business continuity.
  • Enhance the energy independence of the postal infrastructure.
  • Strengthen risk management and cybersecurity programs.

As a reminder, starting April 1 , Ukrposhta updated some of its parcel shipping rates. The company attributed these changes to rising operating costs, which increased due to higher fuel prices, infrastructure maintenance, and network operations during energy crises.

In addition, Ukrposhta has introduced a new model of cooperation with business clients. Entrepreneurs will be able to use all of the company’s logistics services under a single contract instead of several separate agreements.
