The Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture has disbursed 240.6 million hryvnia in compensation covering 25% of the cost of Ukrainian agricultural equipment, based on applications submitted by farmers in April.

The ministry announced this, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

“In April, agricultural producers submitted 823 applications for compensation for the cost of 1,312 units of agricultural machinery and equipment totaling 1.15 billion UAH (including VAT).Partial compensation from the state amounted to 240.6 million hryvnias,” the statement reads.

The purchased equipment includes tillage machinery, various models of trailers and semi-trailers, equipment for transporting and storing grain, sprayers, a crane-manipulator, a tractor, heat generators, a diesel pumping station, truck scales, and much more modern equipment manufactured in Ukraine.

“The list of machinery and equipment purchased with 25% compensation in April includes products from nearly all manufacturers participating in the program: from industry leaders to small sole proprietorships. Each of them received additional income, which will subsequently lead to expanded production, new jobs, and tax revenue. Supporting the domestic machine-building industry, particularly in agriculture, is one of the main goals of the “Made in Ukraine” policy for manufacturers,” noted Vitaliy Kindrativ, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine.

According to the report, from the time the program was reinstated in April 2024 through April 2026, a total of 10,900 agricultural enterprises purchased 18,2 thousand units of machinery and equipment for a total amount of over 13.3 billion UAH (including VAT). The total amount of partial compensation amounted to nearly 2.8 billion UAH.

As a reminder, in April of this year, the government expanded the terms of the compensation program for farmers and agricultural processors in frontline regions. Now, farmers with 80% or more of their land located in combat zones will be able to receive compensation covering 40% of the cost (excluding VAT) of agricultural machinery and equipment from Ukrainian manufacturers.

How the program works

A 25% compensation is provided for agricultural machinery and equipment containing at least 60% Ukrainian materials and components. Special conditions apply to certain categories—combine harvesters, tractors, self-propelled sprayers, and grain trucks.

To take advantage of the 25% reimbursement program, agricultural producers must select machinery or equipment from the official List on the Ministry of Economy’s website, purchase it, and submit an application through an authorized bank. Currently, the List contains 13,680 items from 147 Ukrainian manufacturers.

The “Made in Ukraine” website features a catalog of Ukrainian agricultural processing equipment.

Manufacturers wishing to have their products included in the list may contact the Ministry of Economy by submitting an application on the Ministry’s official website.

The program is one of the tools for implementing the “Made in Ukraine” policy, which aims to support domestic production, localization, and the development of industrial potential.

As previously reported, in April, the Cabinet of Ministers expanded the program to compensate for the cost of Ukrainian agricultural machinery. Farmers in frontline territories will be able to receive compensation equal to 40% of the cost (excluding VAT) when purchasing agricultural machinery and equipment from Ukrainian manufacturers.

A 25% reimbursement (excluding VAT) is provided for Ukrainian agricultural machinery and equipment with at least 60% local content. Special conditions apply to certain categories—combine harvesters, tractors, self-propelled sprayers, and grain trucks. The program is being implemented as part of the “Made in Ukraine” policy to support domestic manufacturers.
