Trump and Putin’s “Bromance”: the peace plan is completely playing to the Kremlin – political analyst

In an interview for the YouTube channel "Komersant Ukrainian",political scientist and director of the Institute of World Policy Yevhen Magda said that the interaction between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin resembles a dependent relationship, which political psychologists call “bromance.”
According to him, this format of relations allows the Kremlin to effectively manipulate the American president.
“Political psychologist Olena Vostrova gave an interesting definition: there is a bromance between Trump and Putin. It’s like a boy in the yard who looks up to an older bully and wants to be like him,” Magda said.
The political scientist believes that Russia has its own “manual” on how to influence Trump, while the West has not created an effective strategy to counter Putin in 25 years.
According to the expert, the Russian leader has been successfully outlasting various Western politicians for years, taking advantage of their internal weaknesses and limited powers.
“He doesn’t care what Macron or Merz say. He sees their positions, he sees that the German Chancellor will primarily take care of his own business at home,” Magda said.
Commenting on some of the provisions of Trump’s proposed 28-point plan, the expert called them technically unfeasible and detached from reality. In particular, he drew attention to the ideas of banning diplomats from visiting Ukraine or restricting NATO aircraft flights.
Magda himself notes that a diplomat can formally circumvent such bans by using a regular passport, and that restrictions on aviation only serve Russian interests.
“This is a set of Kremlin ‘wants’. They show that they are shitting on everyone’s head – allegedly on Ukraine’s, but in fact on Trump’s,” the political analyst emphasized.
Magda also warned that if the West refuses to agree to such conditions, the Kremlin will simply continue the war, because Putin “will not stand for the price.”
