The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) will sell pieces of turf from the New York New Jersey (MetLife) in East Rutherford, New Jersey, where the 2026 World Cup final will take place on July 19. Pieces of the field became available starting Saturday morning, July 11, at a price of $450 (€390) each for the basic version, according to "Komersant Ukrainian", citing DW.

According to the product description, each souvenir turf segment measures 17.5 x 17.5 x 17.5, though it does not specify whether the measurements are in inches, centimeters, or millimeters. The product description urges buyers to “become the owner of a genuine piece of soccer history,” preserved in an acrylic case featuring the 2026 World Cup logo, which comes with a USB drive containing a certificate of authenticity.

The manufacturer’s website also offers other versions of this “souvenir”—with various additional features: in the most expensive configuration, they cost around 2,500 euros each.

Fans can rest assured: the final’s turf will only be dismantled into pieces after the match is over.

Judging by the accompanying product images generated by a neural network, the turf segments are rectangular rather than square. Additionally, in addition to FIFA and the venue/date of the final, the names of the England and Argentina national teams are listed as the participants. These teams can only face each other in the semifinals if they win their quarterfinal matches.

The FIFA website also states that order shipping will begin only after the World Cup final and is currently available only to addresses in the U.S., the U.K., and continental Europe.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19 in North America. Most of the World Cup matches are being held in the United States (in 11 of the 16 host cities), with three more cities hosting matches in Mexico and two in Canada.

All quarterfinal matches and subsequent playoff rounds are taking place in U.S. stadiums.
