Kyiv Is No Longer Number One: Where Is Parking the Most Expensive in Ukraine?

Prices for parking spaces and garages are skyrocketing in Kyiv and its suburbs. In March, the average cost of a parking space in the capital reached 1.22 million hryvnias, which is nearly a third higher than last year. However, Kyiv is no longer the most expensive location. The lead has shifted to the suburbs, where prices are rising even faster.
This is according to data from OLX Real Estate, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".
The highest prices for parking spaces were recorded in Sofiivska Borshchahivka—about 1.28 million UAH. Over the past year, prices here have jumped by nearly 90%, and this is directly linked to rising demand. The number of responses to listings has increased by more than two-thirds.
A similar trend is observed in other cities around the capital. In Irpin, parking spaces have risen in price to 823,000 UAH; in Boryspil, prices have effectively doubled; and in Brovary, the increase is more moderate but also steady.

Rental costs are also rising
The rental market is following the same trends. Once again, parking spaces are most expensive to rent in the suburbs. In Sofiivska Borshchahivka, the price reaches approximately 7,000 hryvnias per month, which is 75% higher than a year ago.
In Vyshneve, prices are also rising rapidly and have already surpassed those in Kyiv. In the capital itself, the average rental cost is lower, at around 5,500 hryvnias.
Against this backdrop, garages appear more affordable, although prices are rising there as well. In Irpin, for example, the cost of purchasing a garage has exceeded 800,000 hryvnias, showing the highest annual increase.
In Kyiv, however, garages are significantly cheaper than parking spaces—about 437,000 hryvnias on average. This is nearly three times less than the cost of a spot in an underground parking garage.
Garage rentals are also becoming more expensive and in some cities have already nearly caught up with parking space rentals.
