Lithuania and Latvia will not allow Fico’s plane to fly to the parade in Moscow

The Lithuanian and Latvian authorities will once again close their airspace to Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico’s plane when he flies to Moscow for the May 9 celebrations, reports "Komersant Ukrainian", citing DW.

“Lithuania and Latvia have already informed us that they will not allow us to fly over their territory during the flight to Moscow. So what, EU member states won’t let the prime minister of another EU member state fly over their territory. I’ll definitely find another route, just like last year,” the Slovak prime minister said.

Earlier, on April 4, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov stated that “a number of foreign dignitaries” had expressed their desire to travel to Moscow for the May 9 celebrations.
