The Ministry of Finance and the State Audit Service were mined from Russian IP addresses

Reports of bomb threats to the headquarters of the State Audit Service at 4 Sahaidachnoho Street and the Ministry of Finance came from Russian IP addresses. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the National Police.

Yesterday, on 14 October, anonymous letters about bomb threats were sent to the email addresses of state authorities, local governments and other facilities in all regions of the country.

It is known that at around 1pm on 14 October , an anonymous message was received about the bomb threat to the main office of the State Auditors. Law enforcement officers and explosives experts arrived at the scene.

The State Audit Service of Ukraine (State Audit Service) is a central executive body coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and implementing state policy in the field of state financial control.

Law enforcement also received reports of bomb threats in the following regions and cities:

  • Vinnytsia region;
  • Zakarpattia region;
  • Zaporizhzhia region;
  • Khmelnytskyi region;
  • Rivne region;
  • Dnipropetrovska oblast;
  • Kyiv;
  • Lviv;
  • Sumy;
  • Mykolaiv.

Police units have checked all the establishments that received bomb threats, all of which turned out to be false.

“The police checked the facilities that received bomb threats yesterday – all of them turned out to be false,” the statement said.

Criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 259 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine over deliberately false reports of a threat to the safety of citizens.

It should be noted that the letters about mining of state institutions and educational establishments throughout Ukraine were sent by a resident of the occupied Crimea. He was identified by journalists of Radio Liberty.
