Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto has offered the former head of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, Mykhailo Fedorov, the position of his advisor. Crosetto made this statement in an interview with la Repubblica, according to "Komersant Ukrainian", citing Reuters.

“I called him the day after he resigned and said, ‘When would you like to come to Rome and work as my advisor?’” he said.

According to the Italian minister, Fedorov was “touched” by the offer and viewed it as a “demonstration of respect and friendship.” Crosetto highly praised the former Ukrainian minister’s contribution to military innovation, calling him “one of those who completely rewrote the rules of the game on the battlefield.”

Crosetto noted that it was Fedorov who helped Ukraine first resist the Russian invasion and then regain the initiative by changing approaches to warfare through new technologies.
