Public discussions have begun in the Lviv region regarding a proposed project to build a new wind farm within the Sokalska territorial community in the Sheptytskyi district. This was reported by ExPro, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

“The project is initiated by Zakhid Viter LLC, founded by Wind Solar Invest LLC. The ultimate beneficiary of the company is businessman Vitaliy Antonov, owner of the fuel giant Halnaftogaz (OKKO),” the report states.

The wind farm’s capacity could reach 80 MW

The project involves the installation of up to 10 wind turbines with a capacity of up to 8 MW each. Thus, the total installed capacity of the wind farm could reach 80 MW.

The height of the wind turbine towers will be up to 200 m, and the total height of the turbines, including the blades in the vertical position, will range from 170 m to 280 m.

The wind farm is expected to generate approximately 240,000 MWh of electricity annually.
