Construction is nearing completion in Uman on the first McDonald’s restaurant, which will be one of the largest new fast-food outlets in the Cherkasy region. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing industry publications.

The first McDonald’s restaurant in Uman is in the final stages of construction. The restaurant is located at 6 Stepan Bandera Street, near the new Grand Petrol multifunctional gas station complex.

The restaurant is being built in partnership with the Grand Petrol chain. Construction of a new gas station complex is also nearing completion nearby.
According to the project, the complex will include:
- a modern gas station;
- a convenience store;
- a café;
- a McDonald’s restaurant;
- parking for passenger vehicles.
The land plot covers an area of approximately 7,500 square meters.

Second Joint Project Between McDonald’s and Grand Petrol
The Uman restaurant will be the second joint project between McDonald’s and Grand Petrol.
The first restaurant of this format opened in late 2024 in Kyiv near the “Boryspilskaya” metro station. This partnership between the restaurant chain and the gas station allows drivers to refuel their cars, take a break, and enjoy the fast-food restaurant’s services all at once.
In addition to Grand Petrol, McDonald’s Ukraine also partners with the OKKO, WOG, and KLO chains. The Uman restaurant will be the eighth location opened in partnership with gas stations.
When will the McDonald’s in Uman open?
Although construction is actively nearing completion, there is no official opening date yet.
The company traditionally announces the launch date of a new restaurant only after all preparatory work has been completed, the necessary permits have been obtained, and the facility has undergone final testing.
What the McDonald’s opening means for Uman
The arrival of the international chain’s first restaurant in Uman will be one of the largest investments in the city’s food service sector in recent years.
The new restaurant is expected to:
- create dozens of new jobs;
- become a popular stop for drivers on the international highway;
- boost the city’s appeal to tourists;
- serve as an additional destination for pilgrims who visit Uman every year.
