Russia continues to attack port infrastructure in the Odesa region. Overnight, a civilian vessel flying the flag of the Republic of Togo came under enemy fire. Four people were injured, and one of them is in critical condition. This was reported by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

On the night of August 17, air raid alerts were issued several times in the region due to the movement of groups of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the Black Sea and in the direction of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Artsyz, and Zatoka.

What is known

On the night of August 17, Russian forces launched new strikes on port infrastructure in the Odesa region.

In particular, a civilian vessel flying the flag of the Republic of Togo was damaged .

“Unfortunately, four people were injured; three of them have been hospitalized, and one is in serious condition. All are receiving the necessary medical care. The attack caused fires, which have now been completely extinguished,” Kipper wrote.

Earlier, the Izmail District State Administration reported on the Russian attack on port infrastructure and several fires that broke out as a result of the strikes.

On August 6, Russia struck a German vessel in the Black Sea near Odesa with a drone, and on August 4, it attacked a ship from Guinea-Bissau in Black Sea waters.
