Russian strikes have left five regions without power—where emergency blackouts are ongoing

Due to Russian shelling of energy infrastructure, some consumers in five regions of Ukraine remain without power on July 21. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
Where there is no power due to Russian shelling
According to the Ministry of Energy, due to hostilities and Russian attacks on energy infrastructure, consumers in the following areas remain without power:
- Dnipropetrovsk Oblast;
- Donetsk Oblast;
- Zaporizhzhia Oblast;
- Sumy Oblast;
- Kharkiv Oblast.
Utility workers are working around the clock to restore power to all customers as quickly as possible.
Emergency repair work is ongoing around the clock, as soon as the security situation allows.
Severe weather has also left some communities without power
In addition to the consequences of Russian attacks, power outages have also been reported due to adverse weather conditions.
According to the Ministry of Energy, four settlements in the Mykolaiv and Poltava regions remain without power.
Repair crews from distribution system operators are working to address the effects of the bad weather.
Will there be power outages on July 21?
The Ministry of Energy emphasized that, as of July 21, no power rationing schedules are expected to be implemented for residential consumers.
At the same time, the situation in the power grid may change depending on the consequences of new Russian attacks and the level of electricity consumption.
Ukrainians are advised to monitor official resources of their distribution system operator (oblenergo) for the latest information on possible changes.

Ukrainians Have Been Urged to Conserve Electricity
Despite the absence of planned restrictions, the Ministry of Energy has asked consumers to use electricity sparingly.
First and foremost, it is recommended to reduce the load on the power grid during peak consumption hours:
- in the morning;
- in the evening.
The ministry emphasizes that the rational use of electricity helps maintain the stable operation of Ukraine’s integrated power grid and makes it easier for energy workers who repair facilities damaged by Russian attacks on a daily basis.
Ukraine’s power grid continues to operate under fire
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has been systematically attacking Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. As a result, energy workers regularly carry out emergency repair work even near the front lines.
The Ministry of Energy assures that repair crews are working around the clock to restore power to all consumers as quickly as possible following enemy attacks.
