Russia launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv: one person was killed and others were injured

On the night of Saturday, August 22, the Russian army attacked Kyiv
with ballistic missiles. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“An air raid alert has been declared in Kyiv due to the threat of the enemy using ballistic weapons. We ask all residents of the capital to immediately proceed to the nearest shelters and remain there until the alert is lifted,” reads a statement from the Kyiv City Military Administration.
After the air raid alert was declared, a series of at least five powerful explosions rang out in the capital.
At least one person was killed
In Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district, one person was killed and several others were wounded as a result of the Russian attack, according to preliminary reports. A warehouse also caught fire.
Explosions were also heard in Chernihiv and Mykolaiv. Additionally, on
the night of August 22, Russian troops attacked the village of Kushuhum in the Zaporizhzhia district with a drone. As a result of the drone strike, one person was killed and four others were wounded, wrote Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, on his Telegram channel.
