Emergency power cuts in Ukraine: in which regions there is no electricity

29 March 2024 17:49

Following another Russian attack on Ukrainian power facilities, Ukrenergo is introducing emergency shutdown schedules in a number of regions. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi https://www.komersant.info/ with reference to the press service of Ukrenergo.

Thus, emergency outage schedules are currently being applied in Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia and Kirovohrad regions. Restrictions are also in place in Kharkiv and Kryvyi Rih.

The reason for the blackouts and restrictions is the lack of sufficient electricity in the system after the Russian attack, according to Ukrenergo.

Russian troops attacked energy facilities in a massive combined attack last night. The shelling damaged thermal and hydroelectric power plants in the central and western regions.
