A distillery in Lviv Oblast was sold after 15 years of inactivity: who bought the facility for 3.7 million hryvnias

In the Lviv region, the property complex of the Hnizdychiv Distillery, which has been inactive since 2010, was sold. The property was privatized through the Prozorro.Sales auction for 3.7 million hryvnias. The new owner is the agricultural company “Tradex Agri” from Rivne Oblast, which is also required to pay off the enterprise’s debts. The regional branch of the State Property Fund in the Lviv, Zakarpattia, and Volyn regions sold the property complex of the Hnizdychiv Distillery in the village of Hnizdychiv, Lviv region.
The facility is located at 4 Konovaltsia Street. The distillery has not been operational for about 15 years—since 2010.
How much was the distillery sold for?
The starting price for the property was 3.3 million UAH. Following the auction, the property complex was sold for 3.7 million UAH.
The complex consists of eight real estate properties located on a 9-hectare plot of land.
For an investor, this is not only industrial real estate but also a large plot of land with potential for future use or repurposing.

Who bought the Hnizdychiv Distillery
The auction for the sale of the Hnizdychiv Distillery took place on May 6 on the Prozorro.Prozori electronic platform.
Two companies participated in the bidding:
- Tradex Agri LLC;
- Ad-Trans-Group LLC.
The winner was the Rivne-based company “Tradex Agri,” which offered 3.7 million UAH for the distillery.
What is known about “Tradex Agri”
“Tradex Agri” was registered in 2016 in the city of Zdolbuniv, Rivne Oblast.
Its main beneficiaries are Volodymyr Metkyi and Roman Yanchuk. The group of companies specializes in agribusiness and transportation services.
According to information from open sources, the company’s founder, Volodymyr Metkyi, served as a member of the Semydub Village Council from 2016 to 2020. It was also reported that in 2025, he ranked among the top three businessmen in the Rivne region in terms of business income—over 2.5 billion UAH.
The new owner must pay off the company’s debts
At the time of the sale, the Gnyzdychiv Distillery’s accounts payable amounted to approximately 1.7 million UAH.
Of this amount, 840,000 UAH consists of unpaid wages.
Under the terms of privatization, the new owner must pay off all of the company’s debts within six months.
