A heat wave is set to hit Ukraine: forecasters say where it will be hottest this weekend

The first weekend of August in Ukraine will be marked by a true summer heatwave. No precipitation is forecast for most regions, and temperatures will rise to as high as 37 degrees in some areas.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
What Will the Weather Be Like on August 1–3?
According to forecasters, dry and sunny weather will prevail in Ukraine in the coming days.
Air temperatures will be:
- at night , 15–22°;
- during the day : 27–34°.
It will be hottest in the western regions, where temperatures will reach 35–37° in some areas .
In the southern regions, intense heat is also expected on August 3.
Where Rain Is Possible
Despite mostly dry weather, brief showers are possible in parts of the country.
According to the forecast by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center:
- On August 2, isolated thunderstorms are possible in northwestern Ukraine;
- On August 3, localized thunderstorms are forecast in the northern regions.
No significant precipitation is expected in other regions.

Weather on August 1
On Saturday, August 1, the following is forecast throughout Ukraine:
- variable cloudiness;
- no precipitation;
- winds from varying directions at 3–8 m/s.
Temperature:
- at night 15… 20°;
- during the day 27… 32°.
In some parts of the western regions, temperatures will reach 35… 37°.
What will the weather be like in Kyiv?
In the capital and the Kyiv region, the first day of August will also be dry.
Forecasters predict:
- in the Kyiv region, temperatures will range from 15… 20° at night to 27… 32° during the day;
- in Kyiv, 18…20° at night and 30…32° during the day .
