Vacations in Egypt and Dubai Have Become More Expensive: What’s Happening with Demand for Summer Tours

ANALYSIS
Despite rising prices, the war, and instability in the tourism market, Ukrainians continue to actively plan their summer vacations abroad. Egypt and Dubai remain among the most popular destinations this season—resorts that attract visitors with their warm seas, excellent service, and a wide range of vacation options, from budget tours to luxury hotels.
However, in 2026, vacations to these destinations have become significantly more expensive. Tour operators attribute this to rising airfare costs, the reinstatement of fuel surcharges, and high demand for popular resorts. This is particularly noticeable for package tours involving flights through airports in neighboring countries.

How much does a vacation in Egypt, the UAE, and Turkey cost
Most often, tourists choose Egypt, Turkey, the UAE, and Greece—these destinations currently make up the main market for summer vacations. Tour operators note that Ukrainians have become more budget-conscious, but not everyone is willing to skimp on comfort and service. All-inclusive tours remain particularly popular.
Sofia Getman, CEO of “Getman Tour,” in an exclusive comment for
“People are vacationing; no one is afraid of anything; everything is safe. We continue to book tours from Chisinau, Poland, Budapest, and Vienna—there is constant demand,” she noted.
Egypt remains one of the most affordable international destinations for Ukrainians. According to Sofia Getman, tour prices currently start at 45,000 hryvnias for two people. These are primarily budget or mid-range hotels in Hurghada or Sharm el-Sheikh.
At the same time, vacations at luxury or adults-only hotels are significantly more expensive— ranging from 100,000 to 120,000 hryvnias for two people per week. According to the tour operator, the resorts in Sharm el-Sheikh are in the highest demand.
Vacations in the United Arab Emirates remain more expensive this season but are consistently popular among tourists seeking comfort and a high level of service. According to “Getman Tour,” the average cost of a tour to the UAE starts at 80–90 thousand hryvnias for two people. A full tour package including flights and accommodation in a good hotel costs around 100–120 thousand hryvnias.
“The Emirates is more of a luxury vacation. The level of service is different there, and so is the budget,” says Sofia Getman.
Despite the high cost, demand for the destination remains stable, tour operators say.
Turkey traditionally remains one of the most popular destinations for Ukrainians. Budget tours this summer start at 43–45 thousand hryvnias for two people. However, you’ll have to pay more for a quality five-star hotel—an average of 65–75 thousand hryvnias for two. The most popular resorts are on the Antalya coast—Alanya, Side, Kemer, as well as Bodrum and Marmaris.
Greece is gaining popularity
Greece has become one of the season’s main trends. Tour operators note that this destination is showing perhaps the greatest growth in bookings among Ukrainians in 2026. The average cost of a vacation in Greece is currently 60–65 thousand hryvnias for two people. At the start of the season, it was still possible to find tours starting at 47 thousand hryvnias, but prices have risen as summer approaches.
“This year, there is very high demand specifically for Greece. The most popular destinations are the islands of Crete, Zakynthos, and Corfu,” said Getman.
In this case, tourists are attracted not only by the beaches and nature but also by the opportunity to find all-inclusive hotels, which are traditionally popular among Ukrainians.
According to Sofia Getman, more and more tourists are realizing that a vacation abroad often costs no more than popular Ukrainian resorts. This is especially true for all-inclusive packages, where the price already includes accommodation, meals, transfers, and insurance.
The expert notes that a significant drop in prices should not be expected as the peak season approaches, and the best deals will remain primarily limited to early bookings or short-term promotions from tour operators.
