Russian forces attacked two merchant ships in the Odesa region: there are fatalities and injuries
14 July 19:58
Russian troops attacked two civilian vessels traveling through the maritime corridor under the flags of Tanzania and Liberia; the captain of one of them was killed. Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“The enemy continues to deliberately target civilian vessels in the Black Sea. The aggressor’s latest targets were two merchant ships sailing through the maritime corridor under the flags of Tanzania and Liberia. The captain of one of the ships was killed in the attack,” the statement reads.
The 11-member crew was evacuated to shore; three of them were injured.
“Every such cynical strike by the enemy is a war crime against civilians, civilian shipping, and global food security,” Kipper emphasized.
As a reminder, on the night of July 14, Russian occupation forces carried out another attack on Kyiv. The strike caused fires in various parts of the capital and damaged warehouses, vehicles, and a boarding school building.
