On August 1, the #FreeToBreastfeed flash mob will take place simultaneously in six cities across Ukraine

31 July 10:57

On Saturday, August 1, at 12:30 p.m., a flash mob will take place in Taras Shevchenko Park in Kyiv, simultaneously with events in Lviv, Odesa, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, and Chernivtsi, under the hashtag #FreeToFeed—a joint breastfeeding session in support of mothers and children, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

The flash mob is part of World Breastfeeding Week, which is observed annually in more than 170 countries around the world. Its goal is to draw attention to the importance of supporting breastfeeding and women’s right to freely breastfeed their children in public places.

The event will take place during the Family Festival in Support of Breastfeeding, organized by the NGO “Milk Rivers of Ukraine.” Guests can expect lectures and consultations with experts, family activities, entertainment for children, and photo zones.

We invite media representatives to attend the flash mob and cover the event.

Date: August 1, 2026

Flash mob start time: 12:30 p.m.

Location: Kyiv, Taras Shevchenko Park (near the yurt)

Admission is free.
