The Russian military launched a large-scale missile strike on Kyiv; there are fatalities

On the night of Saturday, July 19, the Russian army launched a massive missile attack on Kyiv. Amid an air raid alert triggered by the attack, numerous explosions were heard in the Ukrainian capital, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports, citing Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

In the Dnipro district, the strike caused smoke to billow near a shopping center, and a dormitory building caught fire due to falling debris. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a three-story annex to an administrative building is on fire. More than 10 parked cars were also damaged. Windows were shattered in a nearby residential building. In the Solomyanskyi district, debris fell near a 9-story building, damaging the windows; a fire was also reported on the roof of a supermarket and in an adjacent residential building, Klitschko said.

According to the latest reports, eight people were injured. The Kyiv City Military Administration reported one fatality.
