“Flamingo” attacked the “Avitek” plant in Kirov, Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the strike on a military facility in Kirov, Russia, which supplies components for the Russian Armed Forces’ aircraft and missile systems. He made the announcement on Friday, July 24, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to Zelenskyy, Russian troops use this very equipment, in particular, during massive attacks on Ukrainian cities and communities.
“Today, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck one of the key military plants in Kirov, Russia. It supplies components for the occupier’s aviation and missile systems,” Zelenskyy said.
He thanked the Ukrainian military for the precision of the strikes, calling them a “just response” to Russian aggression.
The president also reported that an oil facility on Russian territory, located about 1,350 kilometers from Ukraine, had been struck. According to him, there were other strikes on enemy targets as well.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is continuing operations against Russian logistics networks that supply the Russian army with drone components, navigation equipment, and military gear.
The president thanked the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, intelligence services, and the Security Service of Ukraine involved in carrying out these operations.
Earlier, the Telegram channel Astra reported that explosions were heard in Kirov, Russia, on the morning of July 24, after which a fire broke out on the premises of the Avitek plant. This company manufactures anti-aircraft missiles for the Russian army.
OSINT analysts determined that the facility in question is the Vyatka Machine-Building Enterprise Avitek, located on Oktyabrsky Avenue in Kirov. According to the monitoring channel Exilenova, the strike was likely carried out using Flamingo missiles. The strike hit one of the plant’s central buildings, where employees may have been present at the time of the attack.
Subsequently, Denis Shtilerman, chief designer and co-owner of Fire Point, published a video showing a Flamingo missile being launched at the plant.
Avitek is subject to international sanctions imposed by the United States, the European Union, Ukraine, Canada, Switzerland, and New Zealand due to its involvement in the production of components for the Russian military-industrial complex.
According to publicly available data, the company manufactures products for military, dual-use, and civilian purposes, including air defense systems, aviation components, ejection seats for pilot rescue, and other aviation equipment.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, the plant specializes in the production of surface-to-air guided missiles and target missiles, and is also involved in the production of Tor air defense missile systems.
