The power supply situation in the Bucha district of Kyiv Oblast has been stabilized. Emergency power outages have been lifted, and consumers are back on their regular schedules.
This was reported by DTEK, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
At the same time, emergency power outages continue in the Boryspil and Brovary districts of the Kyiv region. According to energy officials, isolated outages caused by severe weather conditions are also being recorded throughout the region.
“There are isolated outages throughout the region due to bad weather. We are doing everything possible to address their consequences,” DTEK noted.
What’s happening in Kyiv
In the capital, the power supply situation remains tense. Due to grid constraints, previously announced schedules for hourly outages are temporarily suspended, while emergency outages continue.
According to available information, consumers in Kyiv are receiving about three hours of electricity, while periods without power can last up to ten hours.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko stated that, in the absence of new large-scale attacks, the situation with power outages in Kyiv could improve starting the evening of January 15.
According to her,
- on the right bank of the capital, the principle of 5 hours without power and 5 hours with power is in effect,
- on the left bank, power is restored for 3–4 hours following outages lasting up to 10 hours.
The government also assured that the difficult situation in the power grid has not led to a fuel shortage.
As a reminder, on the night of January 9, Russian troops launched a massive strike on Kyiv’s energy facilities, leaving parts of the city and the region without electricity and heat. Restoration work is continuing amid cold weather and the constant threat of renewed attacks.
