The State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine has announced an auction for the sale of a special permit to use the Lysovychi hydrocarbon block in the Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. NADRA reports, as cited by "Komersant Ukrainian"

The auction is scheduled for July 29, 2026. The starting price of the lot is 1.1 billion UAH, excluding VAT. To participate in the auction, a security deposit of over 221 million UAH must be paid.

What makes the

The Lysovitska oil and gas field is located in the Stryi district of the Lviv region and the Kalush district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The area of the plot is 80.11 square kilometers. It contains deposits of natural gas, oil, gas dissolved in oil, and condensate.

According to Ukraine’s state balance of mineral reserves as of January 1, 2026, the total prospective oil resources of the Lysovitska area are estimated at 55.588 million tons (over 400 million barrels).

Special Permit Terms

The special permit is granted for a term of 20 years and covers the full range of activities—from geological exploration to commercial production.

At the same time, the area includes nature reserve sites, specifically:

  • the “Morshynske Uzlisya” forest reserve,
  • the “Morshynske” landscape reserve,
  • the “Vyazina Bolekhivska” nature reserve.

The auction for the Lysovitska area was initiated by Flexor Invest LLC, a Kyiv-based company established in February 2025 (sole owner and director— Bogdan Kravchenko from the Kremenchuk District of Poltava Oblast, YouControl).

It should be noted that this is not the only lot for which Flexor Invest initiated an auction—in 2025, the company asked the State Geological Service to put up for sale a permit for the Kreminets oil and gas condensate field in the Nadvirna district of Ivano-Frankivsk region. However, the Ministry of Environmental Protection did not approve the auction for this lot (significant portions of the area are located within the Carpathian National Nature Park and the “Kopchyn” botanical reserve of local significance, on land designated for forestry purposes, and elsewhere).
