Russia’s large-scale attack on Ukraine: details on the impact across regions

On May 1, a shopping center in Odesa was damaged as a result of a Russian drone attack.

This was reported by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration, on his Telegram channel, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

“During the day, the enemy attacked the Odesa district with strike drones. As a result of the attack, the roof of the shopping center was damaged. A fire broke out, which has now been extinguished,” the message reads.

Kipper noted that there were no casualties as a result of the attack.

Shelling in Vinnytsia Region

According to Natalia Zabolotna, head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, a house in Vinnytsia region was damaged by a falling UAV.

“A woman was injured and taken to the hospital. Her life is not in danger,” Zabolotna said.

Shelling in the Cherkasy region

In the Zolotonosha district of Cherkasy region, debris from a Russian drone and the blast wave damaged a kindergarten, according to a Telegram post by Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration.

“In the Zolotonosha district, a kindergarten was damaged by UAV debris and a blast wave,” Taburets reported.

He noted that windows were shattered at the kindergarten. No one was injured; the children and staff were in a shelter.

In addition, according to preliminary information, three private homes were also damaged. The assessment is ongoing.

As a reminder, as of May 1, some consumers in five regions of Ukraine remain temporarily without power due to Russian shelling of energy infrastructure.
