7 January 20:15

On the morning of January 7, a massive fire broke out at a coke plant in Dnipro. A column of thick black smoke was visible from various parts of the city. Local residents actively shared photos and videos on social media, and some speculated that the fire might have been caused by nighttime attacks on the city, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

The fire was caused by waste from coke production in a separate section of the plant.

Filatov added that the fire will be extinguished shortly, and there is currently no threat to residential areas and no reports of casualties.
