Emergency repair work is underway in Kyiv following damage to the heating system. As of now, 67 residential buildings remain without heat, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced this on Kyiv24, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to the mayor, the number of buildings without heating has decreased, and specialists from Kyivteploenergo are working around the clock to restore the heat supply as quickly as possible. Klitschko expressed hope that by the end of the current day or on the morning of January 17, all consumers will have heating again.

How emergency services are operating

The mayor noted that repair crews are working in an intensified mode. Work is being carried out simultaneously at several sites where the most critical damage occurred, in order to gradually reconnect buildings to the heating network.

Amid the emergency, Klitschko urged residents of the capital to keep an eye out for neighbors who may need help—particularly the elderly, people with disabilities, or those left without adequate heating. He advised reporting such cases to district state administrations.
