Commercial vehicle sales in Ukraine jumped 14%: April results

In April 2026, the Ukrainian market for new commercial vehicles saw significant growth. Sales rose by 3% compared to March and by 14% compared to the same period last year.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Automobile Manufacturers Association , according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to a statement from Ukravtoprom, 1,122 new commercial vehicles were sold in April. This growth indicates a steady market recovery, which may be linked to economic factors and increased demand for cargo and specialized vehicles.

Sales Leaders
Among the brands that led sales in April, Renault, Fiat, Mercedes-Benz, Citroën, and Opel stand out. They took the top spots in terms of units sold:
- Renault: 235 units
- Fiat: 118 units
- Mercedes-Benz: 98 units
- Citroën: 81 units
- Opel: 80 units
In total, 4,033 new commercial vehicles have been registered on the Ukrainian market since the beginning of 2026, which is nearly 6% higher than last year’s figures.
As previously reported, in March 2026, 23% more new commercial vehicles were registered in Ukraine than in February.
It is worth noting that the Ukrainian electric vehicle market saw a sharp shift in trends in April. The total volume of the segment amounted to 9,122 vehicles, but the main driver was not vehicles imported from abroad, but domestic resales. These surged by 136.3%.
