14 July 13:15

On the night of July 14, Special Operations Forces units successfully struck one of Russia’s largest oil refining and petrochemical complexes—Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat in Bashkortostan. Details of the attack were disclosed by the Special Operations Forces, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

The Special Operations Forces emphasize that “Gazprom Neftohim Salavat” was the last major gasoline producer that had not yet been attacked this year.

“SSO drones successfully reached their targets. According to preliminary data, the AVT-6 critical primary oil distillation unit and other production facilities at the plant were hit,” the statement reads.

This time, Ukrainian drones traveled about 1,500 kilometers.

“Special Operations Forces continue to carry out Ukraine’s long-range sanctions against Russia. Special Operations Forces: Always beyond the limits!” the military concluded.

What are the consequences of the strike on the refinery in Salavat?

“Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat” is located in the city of Salavat, Republic of Bashkortostan. To strike it, the drones traveled about 1,500 kilometers.

The enemy facility was attacked in coordination with “Chernaya Iskra,” an underground insurgent movement operating within Russia.

The General Staff noted that “Gazprom Neftohim Salavat” processes about 10 million metric tons of crude oil per year. The complex produces gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel, lubricants, and other products.

In addition to the “Gazprom Neftohim Salavat” oil refinery complex, the “Afipsky” oil refinery in the Krasnodar Krai was also struck.

“A fire has been reported in the vicinity of the facility. The extent of the damage and the details of the incident are being clarified,” the statement said.

As the General Staff noted, the Afipsky Oil Refinery has a design capacity of approximately 6.25 million metric tons of crude oil per year and is one of the key oil refining facilities in southern Russia, supplying motor fuels and components for the needs of the aggressor state. It is involved in supplying the Russian army.

As a reminder, earlier on September 18, 2025, long-range drones of the Security Service of Ukraine had already struck the “Gazprom Neftohim Salavat” petrochemical complex in Bashkortostan, Russia. At that time, the drones struck the ELOU-AVT-4 unit—the heart of the plant.

On September 24, 2025, drones operated by the Security Service of Ukraine struck “Gazprom Neftohim Salavat” again.
