Ukraine has banned imports of certain goods from Hungary. What is the reason?

Ukraine has banned imports of certain goods from Hungary due to the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in the country.
This was reported by the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
Thus, the agency has banned the import of the following goods
- animals susceptible to the foot-and-mouth disease virus
- genetic material;
- raw materials and products of animal origin from susceptible species.
The service noted that such measures were taken to prevent the introduction of the foot-and-mouth disease pathogen into Ukraine.
“The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection and its territorial bodies constantly monitor the epizootic situation,” they emphasized.
