Military personnel “at zero” will be paid additional UAH 70 thousand: Rada adopts resolution

The Verkhovna Rada has voted in favour of a resolution for the government to add 70,000 hryvnias to those who are fighting on the front lines. This was announced by European Solidarity MP Oleksiy Honcharenko, Komersant ukrainskyi
reports.
Now, in addition to salaries (20-25 thousand hryvnias) and combat allowances (100 thousand hryvnias), defenders should receive another 70 thousand hryvnias.
“We’ve pushed through. For – 321 (deputy – ed.) That is, in addition to salary (20-25 thousand) and combat (100 thousand), defenders should also receive 70 thousand,”
– the post reads.
The MP noted that this is primarily about motivation and justice for those who hold the frontline on their shoulders.
“By the way, the provision on additional payments of 70 thousand was in the mobilisation bill, but it was removed at the last moment. Because the government does not prioritise the financial support of our heroes,”
– Honcharenko added.
Who will receive the extra payment
Aone-time reward of 70 thousand hryvnias will be given to soldiers who perform combat (special) tasks during combat (special) operations on the line of contact with the enemy at a distance of combat (special) tasks by a military unit (subdivision, including a consolidated unit) of the first echelon of defence or offensive (counter-offensive, counterattack) up to and including a company stronghold, as well as on the enemy’s territory (including the territory between the positions of the enemy’s troops and their own troops in the areas of military (combat) operations, on the territory of Ukraine temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation), for every 30 days (calculated in total) of such tasks.
The resolution also provides for the development and submission to the Parliament of a draft law to improve the mechanisms of rotation of servicemen under martial law, their discharge from military service and medical and social rehabilitation.

On 11 April, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the draft law on mobilisation in Ukraine.
