“Armada of Drones”: Tusk Announces Partnership with Ukraine on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

27 April 19:15

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced plans to collaborate with Ukraine on creating a modern fleet of drones to strengthen Poland’s security. According to Interia Wydarzenia, he made these remarks during a conference in Rzeszów titled “The Road to the Conference on Ukraine’s Recovery: Security and Defense Dimensions,” as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".

“I am proud that our partner in this project is a country that has the most experience in what today decides the fate in the air,” Tusk said, referring to Ukraine.

According to him, the Polish plan to create a “drone armada” will be implemented with the participation of Ukrainian technology and expertise.

“Poland’s plan to create a drone armada will be supported by the technical ideas and expertise of our Ukrainian friends,” he emphasized.

Tusk noted that Ukraine has already proven its role as an important partner in the security sector, particularly by helping other countries defend their airspace.

He also emphasized that cooperation between Ukraine, Poland, and Europe is not one-sided aid.

“This is not one-sided aid to a country at war… Ukraine also has something to offer,” the prime minister noted.

The conference in Rzeszów was part of the preparations for the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine, which will take place in June in Gdańsk.
