Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, Lviv, and the Poltava region: the consequences of the Russian Federation’s attack have been revealed

On the night of July 30, Russia carried out one of the largest combined attacks in recent weeks. Ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as attack drones, were launched across Ukraine.
Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, Vinnytsia, Lviv, the Poltava region, Kharkiv, and a number of other regions were targeted. The attack resulted in fatalities, injuries, and significant damage to civilian infrastructure, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had warned of the threat of a massive strike the day before, following a briefing by the Air Force command.
Kyiv: One person killed, infrastructure damaged
A series of powerful explosions rocked the capital after an air raid alert was issued.
According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, one person was killed and two others were injured as a result of the Russian attack.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported:
- falling debris;
- damage to non-residential buildings;
- damage to facilities in the Svyatoshynsky district;
- damage in Obolon.
According to local authorities, the entrance to the Pochayna metro station was also damaged .
Fires broke out in the Obolon and Svyatoshyn districts of the capital, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
In the Obolon district, market stalls caught fire on the market grounds. One person was injured as a result of the fire.
In the Svyatoshyn district, a fire broke out on the grounds of a garage cooperative. While extinguishing the fire, rescuers discovered the body of a deceased person. Another man was hospitalized with injuries.




The fire at the garage cooperative has already been extinguished. Meanwhile, in the same district, rescue workers continue to fight a fire in a five-story non-residential building.

Kyiv Region
Five people, including one child, were injured as a result of the Russian attack.
In the village of Skibyn in the Brovary District, a two-story private residential house was partially destroyed. Two neighboring houses were also damaged.
During rescue operations, emergency responders extracted three victims from the rubble and handed them over to medical personnel.



Kryvyi Rih: A large family died under the rubble
As a result of a nighttime attack, a Russian “Iskander-M” ballistic missile struck a private home in a suburb of Kryvyi Rih. Six people were killed in the attack, including two children. Eight more people were injured, including boys aged 6 and 15, according to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, and the Novopil Village Council.
“Two girls, aged 5 and 12, and four adults were killed. Another eight people were injured, including two children—boys aged 6 and 15. Unfortunately, the death toll may rise. The injured are receiving all necessary medical care,” Vilkul said.
According to him, the missile was launched from Voronezh. The tragedy occurred in the Novopil community. A rescue operation is underway at the scene, and State Emergency Service personnel continue to clear the rubble.




“Four more children are still trapped under the rubble. Unfortunately, the bodies of Olena and Artem Voronov and their four children have already been recovered from the rubble. This is an irreparable tragedy that has shaken the entire community. A woman is in critical condition at the hospital. A neighboring family—a woman and two children who were rescued from the rubble—has also been hospitalized. “Rescue operations are ongoing. We are praying for the recovery of the victims and believe that every person rescued will have a chance at life,” the Novopil Village Council stated.
Lviv: High-rise buildings damaged, casualties reported
Cruise missiles reached the western regions of Ukraine.
In Lviv, air defense forces engaged enemy targets.
According to Lviv Regional State Administration Head Maksym Kozytskyi and Mayor Andriy Sadovyi:
- two high-rise buildings were damaged;
- at least five people were injured;
- rescue workers, medical personnel, and utility services are on the scene.
According to the State Emergency Service, 8 people were injured and 7 were rescued as a result of the Russian strike.
Several strikes were recorded in the city. Fires broke out at the impact sites. State Emergency Service units are extinguishing the fires and addressing the aftermath of the attack.
Experts are continuing to inspect buildings, so the number of casualties and the extent of the damage may be revised.







Poltava Region: A “Nova Poshta” terminal was hit
Russian drones attacked the Poltava district.
As a result of the strike:
- one person was killed;
- a warehouse belonging to a private company was damaged;
- a “Nova Poshta” terminal was attacked;
- a fire broke out on the premises of the logistics complex.
According to the Poltava Regional State Administration, the fire was quickly extinguished by State Emergency Service units.
No casualties were reported at the terminal.




Kharkiv: Strike on an Industrial Zone
At the same time, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with strike drones.
According to Mayor Ihor Terekhov, a missile-equipped drone struck an industrial zone in the Novobavarskyi district.
Information regarding possible casualties is being verified.
Russia used various types of weapons
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, during the nighttime attack, Russia used:
- ballistic missiles;
- cruise missiles;
- attack drones;
- ship-launched missiles.
It is precisely this combined use of various weapons that significantly complicates the work of air defense systems.
The consequences are still being assessed
Rescue workers, medical personnel, bomb disposal experts, and law enforcement officers continue to work at all locations.
Authorities are urging citizens not to ignore air raid alerts and to rely only on official information.
Final figures on the number of fatalities, injuries, and the extent of the damage may be revised once emergency rescue operations are complete.
