A petition on the Kyiv City Council website calling for Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko to report on his work to the local community has garnered the 6,000 votes required for consideration. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing “Interfax-Ukraine.

According to the report, the petition was submitted on April 9, and as of May 24, it had gathered the 6,000 votes required for consideration.

“The Mayor of Kyiv, in violation of the requirements of Part 7 of Article 42 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Local Self-Government in Ukraine,’ failed to report on his work to the local community in 2025 during an open meeting in a manner that allows residents to ask questions, express comments, and make suggestions,” the petition states.

In light of this, the author of the petition demands that the Kyiv City Council take immediate action to remedy this violation and oblige the Mayor of Kyiv to report within one month in compliance with the requirements of the law, specifically to announce the event in advance and publish a draft version of the report for review no later than 7 days prior to the event.
