Odessa has become the second Ukrainian city where Ukrposhta is rolling out a network of parcel lockers. This was reported by the company’s press service, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

“After launching 70 parcel lockers in Kyiv, the company opened another 30 in Odesa, continuing to expand its network of alternative pickup points,” the statement said.

It is noted that they can operate even in the absence of electricity or an internet connection, and they can be used not only through the app but also via an SMS code. Thus, this format is also accessible to customers who do not use smartphones.

By the end of the year, Ukrposhta plans to expand its network to 1,000 parcel terminals in various cities across Ukraine.

At the same time, the company is developing digital tools for managing deliveries. The “Ukrposhta 2.0” app recently introduced features that give customers more control over their packages, including free redirection before arrival at a branch and the ability to change the recipient.

“The expansion of the parcel locker network is part of a broader development of convenient pickup options. The company also recently launched pickup points, gradually building a system where customers can choose the most convenient way to receive their packages—at a branch, a parcel locker, or a pickup point,” the company reported.

As a reminder: On April 14, the first 70 parcel lockers began operating in Kyiv. At that time, Ukrposhta announced that if a package had been paid for and shipped but had not yet reached a branch, it could be redirected free of charge within Ukraine and from AliExpress or Temu to a parcel locker (without any additional fees) or to another branch. It is also possible to extend the storage period and change the recipient.

“And if the package is already waiting for you at a branch, but you need a different branch or parcel locker, you can also redirect your package at the standard rate,” added CEO Smiliansky.

The package will be stored at the parcel locker for up to seven days free of charge, and then it will be sent to the nearest branch if it is not picked up.

During the first few weeks, the service is available for prepaid parcels, but by the end of April, in-app payment will be available, allowing customers to pay for delivery directly upon receipt, the announcement states.
