A charity “Run with Europe” will take place in Kyiv to mark Europe Day

On May 9, the VDNG will host the charity event “Run with Europe,” dedicated to Europe Day. The event is organized by the “New Country” Foundation.
According to Andriy Novak, participants from various European cities will join the initiative online simultaneously with Kyiv.
The organizers emphasize that the goal of the event is to establish May 9 as Europe Day and to highlight Ukraine’s European identity.
A symbolic feature of the race will be medals for participants, made from bullet casings. According to the organizers, this symbolizes the idea: “It is better to compete than to fight.”
Funds raised during registration will be used to purchase equipment for repairing military vehicles for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Participants will be able to join both the run and the race walk. The event will take place offline in Kyiv and online in cities across Europe.
