Polish society has demonstrated an unprecedented level of solidarity with the Ukrainian people during the most difficult period in Ukraine’s recent history. Published statistics show the scale of support provided to Ukrainian refugees, reports "Komersant Ukrainian", citing a post by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on social media platform X.

According to the published information, 1.73 million Ukrainian refugees received official legal and financial protection on Polish territory.

The scale of Polish society’s involvement in aid efforts has been enormous. 77% of Poles have personally and actively participated in helping Ukrainian refugees, and 7% of Polish citizens have opened the doors of their homes to provide shelter to Ukrainians fleeing the war.

In addition, a statement from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that Poles spent over 10 billion zlotys to help their Ukrainian neighbors.

“These figures go far beyond mere statistics—they reflect the massive efforts of grassroots organizations to support those in need during their most difficult time,” the statement from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs reads.

The figures cited in the post demonstrate not only the scale of state and financial support but also the significant role played by ordinary citizens and civic initiatives in helping Ukrainians.
