The Pension Fund has updated its data: the average salary has grown again

In June 2025, the average salary in Ukraine, from which insurance contributions to the Pension Fund are paid, increased to UAH 22,336.81. This was reported by the press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, according to
This figure is taken into account for calculating pensions in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance”.
“On July 25, 2025, the Pension Fund of Ukraine approved the average salary (income) in Ukraine, from which insurance premiums were paid and which is taken into account for pension calculation in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance”, for June 2025. It amounts to UAH 22,336.81,” the statement said.
The average salary in Ukraine in May was 20,355 hryvnia 40 kopecks.
In April of this year, the average salary from which insurance premiums were paid and which is taken into account for calculating pensions was UAH 19,856.
At the beginning of the year, in January, the average salary in Ukraine was UAH 18660.32.

The leader is Kyiv, where the average salary is UAH 30,000, which is 23% more than last year. Lviv is in second place with UAH 26,300 (19%), and Uzhhorod rounds out the top three with UAH 25,000 (25%).
The lowest salaries were recorded in Sumy (UAH 18,500, 23%), Kherson (UAH 19,000, 13%) and Chernihiv (UAH 19,500, 18%).

How the average salary has changed per month
Compared to June 2025, most regions of Ukraine have seen a slight increase in wages. The largest increases were recorded in cities such as Kyiv, Rivne, Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Lutsk, Poltava, Kropyvnytskyi, Kherson, and Sumy, where the average salary increased by UAH 500. In Odesa and Chernihiv, the increase amounted to UAH 400, in Lviv and Kharkiv – UAH 300, and in Ivano-Frankivsk – UAH 200.
At the same time, in such cities as Uzhhorod, Dnipro, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhia, Zhytomyr, and Mykolaiv, the average salary remained at the level of June 2025.
