Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy summarized the results of the latest Ramstein-format meeting and announced new support packages from allies. According to him, partners announced decisions regarding air defense, drones, and logistics, and also confirmed contributions to joint defense programs. The head of state made these remarks while commenting on the results of the latest meeting of allies dedicated to supporting Ukraine, reports "Komersant Ukrainian"
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, significant results were achieved during the Ramstein meeting, which are already beginning to be implemented in practice.
“There are important results from the new Ramstein meeting—exactly what we agreed upon with the leaders is now being implemented. We just heard a report from Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. Partners at Ramstein noted Ukraine’s strong positions on the battlefield,” the president noted.
What results from Ramstein did Zelenskyy announce?
The president emphasized that allies have a clear understanding of Ukraine’s key needs. This primarily concerns strengthening air defense and developing joint weapons production.
According to Zelenskyy, it is now crucial that every announced commitment be fulfilled in full and without delay.
“The main thing is that every commitment announced is fully and timely fulfilled. When our defense is sufficiently secured, Russia has no real chance of achieving its occupation goals,” he emphasized.
Separately, the president announced that the decision on new contributions to the PURL program from five partners has been confirmed.
Which countries have announced new aid for Ukraine
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the allies who confirmed or announced new support packages for Ukraine following the Ramstein summit.
In particular, Germany will continue working to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense and develop capabilities for precision strikes.
According to the president,the UK will continue to work on supplying the necessary drones to Ukrainian forces. The head of state also emphasized the importance of further developing joint capabilities in this area.
Norway announced the allocation of more than $500 million to provide Ukrainian brigades with drones. Additionally, another $150 million will be directed toward strengthening logistics.
The Netherlands, as Zelenskyy reported, will allocate over 200 million euros for drones.
The president also thanked Spain for its willingness to participate in the European SAFE program, which is designed to help scale up joint defense capabilities.
Canada, according to the head of state, will continue to strengthen specific defense areas.
Belgium will allocate additional funds for the supply of ammunition and the strengthening of Ukraine’s air defense.
Separately, Zelenskyy thanked Lithuania and Estonia for their contributions to the PURL program.
